Sunday, in a village north-west of Poitiers, a nine-year-old girl was kidnapped in broad daylight, reports France 3 Aquitaine on Monday.
Quickly found, the child was immediately taken care of by the Poitiers CHU.

At the same time and still according to France 3 Aquitaine, some 100 gendarmes were mobilized to find the author of this kidnapping.
The immediate intervention plan, formerly the Épervier plan, was triggered and numerous roadblocks deployed.
Michel Garrandaux, the public prosecutor in Poitiers, explained to France 3 that the gendarmes had been working on several tracks since Sunday.

In this case, nearly 400 gendarmes were on alert and potentially mobilized on Monday in the departments of Vienne, Deux-Sèvres and Maine-et-Loire.
About ten investigating gendarmes from the Poitiers Research Section were also assigned to this investigation within the "personal injury" division, specifies the local branch of France 3. The investigation also benefits from the reinforcement of police officers judiciary (OPJ) of the Poitiers Brigade.
