The case alleged that at about 6 o'clock in the morning that day, a citizen was waiting outside the Cultural Museum. During the period, they saw two men wearing masks walking towards the Lion Rock Tunnel interchange, suspected of opening the traffic light cover.
The citizen then heard the sound of a metal floor and saw sparks. The 8 groups of lamp posts at the scene were also immediately extinguished, so they called the police.

The police arrived at the scene and found that the traffic light cable had been cut. Then, based on the clothing description of the informant, the two defendants were intercepted and searched nearby.
The police seized scissors, electric pliers, and hexagon keys from the rucksack of the first defendant, while the rucksack of the second defendant contained gloves and masks.
In addition, the trouser pocket of the defendant was also equipped with cutting pliers, and the forensic test showed that the cable was cut by the cutting pliers.
The first defendant admitted to cutting the cable during the warning meeting, but the second defendant claimed that he was the guard at the time.
The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department estimated the maintenance cost at 30,000 yuan.
