For months it was at least publicly quiet about the controversial lease contract between the city of Olching and a well-known building contractor.
Now the members of the main committee dealt with the subject again - at the request of the CSU.
Olching
- This move was only made possible by a corresponding change in the rules of procedure.
The CSU parliamentary group demands that the contractual relationship be terminated completely.
Brief review: In March, some members of the city council sharply criticized Mayor Andreas Magg (SPD).
In 2016, he leased an urban green strip on Feldstrasse to a building contractor (we reported).
CSU and Free Voters Olching complained that the city had given the area too much on favorable terms and also allowed the tenant to build a garage there.
Mayor Magg defended himself at the time that the procedure and the amount of the lease were also common for other properties of this type.
Now, at the most recent meeting of the main committee, the CSU requested that Magg terminate the lease at the earliest possible date.
Exempt from stipulations
The area is shown in the development plan as a public walkway with accompanying tree planting.
So that the construction of the garage could be approved there, the administration released the building contractor from the stipulations of the development plan.
"The deviations were never approved by the city council and would probably not have been approved either," criticized the CSU.
Since then, the so-called isolated exemptions have also been submitted to the building committee - again an adaptation of the rules of procedure.
The tenant must restore the original condition.
The city could then redesign the green strip at the entrance to the Olchinger Parkfriedhof and create bicycle stands or vertical parking spaces.
The main committee finally decided that the administration should look into the matter and submit a proposal to the city council.
