The Carmel Wildlife Reserve is home to a large sample of endangered animals, and serves as a breeding ground.

The Chai Bar Carmel Nature Reserve is a public shelter site that the Nature and Parks Authority operates and maintains and is dedicated to raising endangered wildlife or those that have become extinct in the area and returning them to nature.

The reserve has breeding nuclei of the Persian donkey, Eyal Hacarmel, as well as eagles and birds of prey, which are also part of the restoration project.

The tour of the reserve will begin on the observation deck from which there is a spectacular view to the west and south of the Carmel and Carmel beaches.

From the observation deck we will continue on the accessible path in the reserve towards the wild goat and wild sheep observation, and we will also look for Israeli deer roaming the area.

From there we will continue towards the observation deck next to the Eagles Cage and overlooking the Galim River that begins in the Carmel and ends in the Mediterranean Sea.

In the observation deck we can see close-up eagles in the cage, which are part of the breeding nucleus in the reserve, and above it are also often found eagles from the open nature that like to congregate around it.

In Hai Bar Carmel, the breeding nucleus of eagles, which is part of the "Spreading Wing" project jointly by the Nature and Parks Authority, the Society for the Protection of Nature and the Electric Company, aims to preserve and establish the endangered eagle population in Israel.

The breeding eagles in Khair Bar-Carmel are taken to nature and monitored and monitored for research and protection purposes using tags and transmitters attached to them.

From the eagles compound we will continue to the fence of the Persian donkeys and observe them while feeding them.

The donkeys, which are almost extinct from Israel and the whole world, are part of the breeding nucleus that was established and nurtured in the reserve led by the Nature and Parks Authority for their return to Israeli nature.

Since the project began, the population of donkeys in the open has grown and it now numbers hundreds of individuals, mainly in the Carmel, Galilee and Judean mountains.

Chai Bar Carmel Nature Reserve allows visitors to watch and get excited about the special wildlife up close and get to know their fascinating world and this is also done as part of the live tour.
