Members of the People's Assembly continued to discuss the cabinet’s ministerial statement for the fourth day in the first session of the council’s first regular session of the third legislative session, held under the chairmanship of Hammouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Council, and in the presence of the Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, and a number of ministers.

In their interventions, a number of members of the Council asked about the reasons for neglecting the surplus of successful people in competitions in public bodies and why they are not appointed to a party other than the one to which they applied after conducting training courses for them, noting that the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, for example, needs about 10 thousand supply monitors to cover the entire market. The members of the Council called for creating job opportunities for the demobilized soldiers, increasing the ration of food for the military, and improving the situation of those who retire. He noted the need to guarantee the rights of tenants in the laws, especially in the case of the loss of the rented property, and give greater attention to the Quneitra Governorate, while one of the members called for a review of the dependency of the Central Agency for Financial Supervision and the Central Authority. At the conclusion of the Council members' interventions, Sabbagh clarified that the tomorrow’s session will be devoted to listening to the Prime Minister’s response to the interventions and questions of the Council’s members.
