This 23-year-old man "
already convicted several times by the courts
" was placed in pre-trial detention in accordance with the requisitions of the prosecution, said the magistrate.
Presented to the prosecutor's office in Lorient to be tried in immediate appearance, he must answer for the counts of “
involuntary injuries with disability not exceeding three months per vehicle driver
” with “
at least two aggravating circumstances
”, in particular “
refusal to comply with a summons to stop
”and“
driving a vehicle without a license
”, but also“
unauthorized detention
”and“
unauthorized transport of narcotics
”.
The facts took place in the night from Friday to Saturday while a patrol of the anti-crime brigade (BAC) "
observed a vehicle moving at low speed
".
This vehicle "
crossed a traffic light, in red, and thus struck, violently, a second police vehicle, in the opposite direction
", explained Mr. Kellenberger.
A police officer "
presented fractures
", another suffered "
a significant psychological shock
", while a young security assistant suffers "
from multiple wounds
", according to the prosecutor.
One of the officers was prescribed 10 weeks of ITT, the other six days.
The occupants of the "
suspect vehicle
", a man and two women, were also slightly injured.
A woman was taken into custody on Saturday when she was released from the hospital.
