The Tishreen Football Tournament, in its twentieth year, will start today at the Lattakia stadiums, with the participation of eight teams, and will continue until the first of next month.

The participating teams were divided into two groups that included the first, Tishreen, Al-Ittihad, Jableh, and Banias Refinery, and the second, Al-Wehda, Al-Karama, Al-Sahel and Al-Tadamon teams, noting that the opening match will bring together Jableh and Al-Ittihad at Al-Baath Stadium in Jableh, followed by the Tishreen match and the Baniyas Refinery.

Tishreen coach Dirar Raddawi said in a statement to the SANA sports correspondent that participation in the tournament is a great opportunity to assess the level of the players and determine their readiness, especially that the timing of the session is very appropriate to complete the preparation period that his team is doing in preparation for the Premier League that will start next month, while the coach of Jabla Ammar Al-Shamali said that the session provided the space For young players to prove their worth in addition to the fact that they need a lot of matches to gain experience.

Al-Wehda coach Ghassan Maatouk said that the tournament is part of his team’s preparations, which he started two weeks ago, for the league and will work to involve all players in the team’s ranks for this season.

Hattin’s team won the title of this tournament last season, which is one of the most regular football tournaments since 2000 and has not stopped until now.
