The history of contemporary terrorism in France perhaps started here, at the corner of Rue des Rosiers and Rue Ferdinand Duval, in the heart of the Marais, the Jewish quarter of Paris.
Today the Marais is a tourist and chic neighborhood, and the place is occupied by a clothing store, but a plaque recalls what happened 38 years ago: “Here, in the Goldenberg restaurant, a shooting and the explosion of a grenade caused 6 deaths and 22 injured.
