The director of Roland-Garros, which begins on Sunday and whose draw takes place this Thursday evening (6 p.m.), fears that the number of authorized spectators will drop from 5,000 to 1,000 spectators.
A decrease that would not be justified according to him.
“We are on an immense site, 12 hectares, in the open air.
It is much safer to be at Roland Garros, with a mask, watching a sports match, than to take the metro, to go to the supermarket or in an amphitheater at the university ”, hammered the former player.

Last week, the Paris tournament, postponed to the fall due to the Covid-19 epidemic, had already had to reduce its gauge from 11,500 (announced ten days ago) to a maximum of 5,000 spectators per day.
