Roland-Garros: The spectator gauge should be 1000 spectators

According to our information, the Parisian Grand Slam, which is due to start on Sunday, should see its gauge further lowered, following the announcements of the authorities.


On Wednesday evening, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran warned: "As soon as we put in place gauges and limitations, this necessarily has an impact on any type of major event."

According to our information, the number of spectators admitted daily to the Roland-Garros enclosure from Sunday will finally be reduced from 5,000 to 1,000.

With 600 spectators drawn daily, 350 guests from partners and 50 people in the presidential stand.

Roland-Garros and its rally in the middle of the red zone should therefore not be argued completely behind closed doors, but in very small groups… This Thursday morning, discussions are still underway between the FFT and the authorities.

The official decision will only be taken within 48 hours, in consultation with the Prefect of Paris and elected officials.

At the start of July, the organizers hoped to welcome 20,000 spectators per day at the start of the fortnight and nearly 10,000 for the finals.
