A deadly third-class fire broke out at Wing Shui House, Lek Yuen Village, Sha Tin yesterday (24th), causing 1 death and 4 injuries. Among the injured, one was critical and three were serious.
When the Fire Services Department explained the progress of the investigation last night, it said that a combustion aid was found in the middle of the burning unit, and the male deceased was lying next to the window of the unit. It was believed that the fire was suspicious.
On-site news stated that the deceased man named Chen (37 years old) came to Hong Kong from the Mainland for 2 years. He suffered from depression and mania. When the incident happened, he was agitated and threw objects at his grandmother. The grandmother ran down the lobby of the building and asked the management. The officer asked for help, and then a tragedy happened.
The police accounted for the case at midnight on Friday (25th).
