Science Minister Yizhar Shai of the Blue and White faction is expected to speak tonight (Thursday) with Blue and White Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Bnei Gantz in a zoom conversation, and tell him whether he has decided to resign from the government or remain in office.
According to Minister Shai's associates, following the government's decision on the closure, a decision that was in support of his own faction, he is considering filing his dismissal, but is waiting with his final answer until the official meeting with Ganz.
As you may recall, Minister Shai decided to abandon the nightly cabinet meeting held between Wednesday and Thursday, thus leaving his decision against the government decision.
Shai issued a letter to ministers and the prime minister in which he blamed the decision on the closure.
He said this was a decision made "on a historic scale without a proper process being carried out to examine the aspects of the Corona Cabinet".
