Today, the French health authorities announced the registration of 16,096 new cases of coronavirus, at the highest daily rate since the start of the virus outbreak.
Reuters quoted the French health authorities as saying, "The total number of coronavirus infections in the country has reached 497237 cases."
The health authorities also recorded 52 new deaths from the virus in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total deaths to 31511.
Yesterday, France announced the imposition of new restrictions to limit gatherings due to the spread of Corona, after the high rate of infections in the past days.
