Corona's commissioner, Prof. Roni Gamzo, objected at a cabinet meeting held tonight (Thursday) and discussed restrictions on imposing a closure.

In addition, Minister of Finance Israel Katz, Minister of Science and Technology Yizhar Shai, Minister of Strategic Affairs Orit Farkash-Hacohen, Minister of Economy Amir Peretz and Minister of Welfare Itzik Shmuli voted against the closure, which will begin tomorrow and last 16 days - until after Simchat Torah.

Gamzo said at the hearing that he supports reducing activity in the private sector by 50%, rather than outright.

He said he fully supports the closure of synagogues even on Yom Kippur to prevent infection.

However, his position was rejected by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

No other medical professional who participated in the discussion supported the outline of aggravating the closure.

According to Finance Minister Katz, it was possible to take steps to curb the corona without harming factories and the private sector, "which do not receive an audience and follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health. The economic resilience of the State of Israel is part of national resilience and must be maintained."

The Governor of the Bank of Israel, Amir Yaron, supported the position of the Minister of Finance.
