Stadtwerke wants to build new apartments for employees in two southern districts of Munich.
But that turns out to be difficult.
The view now goes to the bus and tram depot in Einsteinstrasse.
Stadtwerke want to build apartments for employees in Ramersdorf and Perlach.
However, this plan is thwarted by two important targets.
The bus and tram depot in Einsteinstraße offers an alternative.
Munich -
Stadtwerke München
(SWM) has 550 company apartments, another 500 are under construction and another 2,000 are to be added by 2030.
That goal is now wavering considerably!
A
supraregional green corridor
and the necessary
noise protection are
making two new residential construction plans in Ramersdorf and Perlach a line through the bill.
Actually,
apartments for employees
were to be built on
Lauensteinstrasse
in connection with the planned expansion of the main tram workshop
.
The planning department rejected this project now.
"The area originally planned for the company apartments is a narrow strip in the south of the property," explains SWM spokesman Michael Silva.
And according to the current
zoning plan, it
belongs to a superordinate green corridor.
That makes a new building impossible.
Munich: Housing problems of the municipal utilities - still hope for plans in Neuperlach
At the other location for company apartments in the 16th district, there is apparently still a small glimmer of hope.
In addition to the
second underground depot
,
office space and company apartments are to be integrated
on Arnold-Sommerfeld-Strasse in Neuperlach-Süd
.
The examination of the legal planning, technical and also economic aspects will officially be ongoing until autumn.
However, previous investigations have shown that there is a problem: According to the
current sound insulation
report,
the windows of the living rooms should not be opened.
The building would have to be equipped with a
complex ventilation
system.
In view of the
tense economic situation as a result of the Corona crisis
, it is more than questionable whether the municipal utilities will stick to the housing plans.
In the case of a disadvantageous cost-benefit ratio, implementation must be refrained from, according to a SWM statement to the economic department.
Munich: An alternative location would be the bus and tram depot on Einsteinstrasse
Alternative plans are on the table: company
apartments above the bus and tram depot
in Einsteinstrasse have brought district politicians of the SPD in the south-east of Munich into play in two committees.
In Haidhausen they want to have a
feasibility study
checked whether and how a renovation and enlargement of the depot would be necessary.
In Bogenhausen, the SPD and CSU are already assuming in their joint application that
an extension or a new building will be built
on the site, in which company apartments should then be included.
