So close, so far… Dominators at the start of the match, the UBB players led 13-0 against Bristol this Friday, in the semi-final of the Challenge Cup.
The English took control in the second half (20-13) and seemed to be heading for victory, but the Girondins snatched the extension (20-20).
Alas, Bordeaux-Bègles then cashed two tries and it was Bristol who composted his ticket for the final (37-20).
On Saturday, Toulon and Leicester will face each other in the second semi-final of this European Challenge.
