"How long will the Palestinian issue remain without a just solution required by international law?" Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen wondered in his speech today (Friday) at the UN General Assembly.

Abu Mazen said that "the purpose of the conference will be to promote a real peace process based on international law, which will lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as a capital and a solution to all issues, including the refugee issue under Resolution 194."

Mahmoud Abbas insisted that "there will be no peace, security, stability or coexistence in the region with the continuation of the occupation and without a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, which is the basis of the conflict. 

He added: "We will continue to create life and build hope under the banner of national unity and democracy, and will repel attempts and plans to erase us and abolish us. We will continue to establish our status among nations, "To support the rule of law and the war on international terrorism, as in all recent years."
