In the midst of the controversy over the figures, the Buenos Aires Government announced this Friday the recategorization of data on deaths from coronavirus.
As reported at a press conference, information from three different databases (SISA, SIGEC and the Registry of Persons) will be used to avoid under-registration.
"This tool will allow us to report exactly what is happening day by day," said Health Minister Daniel Gollán.
As specified, "60% of the updated data correspond to the private sector and 40% to the public. Within the public sector, 39% correspond to provincial hospitals, 2% to national and 59% to municipal."
In recent days, the numbers that account for the advance of the pandemic in the country were once again at the center of the scene.
For example, the province of Buenos Aires reported deaths from coronavirus more than a month late.
For this reason, they explain, it was seen in the latest reports that the number of deaths reported in Buenos Aires soil is not in the same line as that of infections, which showed a "flattening of the curve."
"The Province of Buenos Aires is the only district that began monitoring since the beginning of the pandemic to check the number of deaths. In the update process, we found deaths that were confirmed as covid post-mortem and in the records of hospitals and Clinics had not been updated. For this reason, this week they are going to finish loading, to avoid any type of under-registration of the pandemic, "they explained from Province Health to

.
The registry of fatalities is prepared based on the report that each health center makes in the event of a death and it is the State that regulates how it should be done.
As reported, "the greatest delay occurs in private clinics and municipal hospitals in the interior of the Province."
