Now the time of the town council begins.

Not that easy in Corona times.

But the town halls react creatively.

Erding - According to the municipal code, every municipality is obliged to hold a citizens' meeting at least once a year.

This season starts now.

In the corona pandemic, events with many people are of course difficult to organize because numerous hygiene requirements have to be observed.

Many communities are therefore faced with a challenge.

The city of Erding is planning three citizens' meetings: on October 20th in the Semptsporthalle, on November 12th in the town hall and on November 19th in the gymnasium in Langengeisling.

You will have "Corona-conform" seating and a maximum number of people will be set.

Advance registration is therefore necessary, informs press officer Wanninger.

The meeting for seniors has been canceled.

“They are the most vulnerable group,” explains Wanninger.

They do not want to expose them to the risk of infection with Corona.

A meeting in every district

This year, for the first time, there should be four meetings in Wartenberg instead of a central one.

They are planned in Wartenberg, Auerbach, Manhartsdorf and Pesenlern, announced Sandra Hänsel, assistant to Mayor Christian Pröbst.

Pre-registration is also required here.

According to Hansel, the meetings will "largely be the same in terms of content." If more people report for a meeting than there are places available, they can switch to another date.

A similar approach is being considered in Berglern and Langenprising.

“The process has not yet been determined,” says Christina Schindlbeck from the town hall.

Dorfen is looking for the super hall

The situation is similar with the planning in Dorfen.

At the moment they are looking for the right location, says spokeswoman Gudrun Gersbach.

In the past few years there have been a total of five meetings in restaurants in the districts.

This year, too, as many citizens as possible should be given the chance to take part in a meeting, said Gersbach.

Details would follow.

In Buch am Buchrain, Mayor Ferdinand Geisberger announced that he would hold the citizens' meeting at the end of October.

Geisberger suspected that around 50 people could find space in the parish hall if the distance rules were observed.

Registration is mandatory.

“If the demand is much greater, we will hold the meeting until everyone has found a place,” he promises.

Walpertskirchen separates the railway line

Walpert Church's mayor Franz Hörmann informed the municipal council that the citizens' meeting would be held this year in the multi-purpose hall.

Due to the hygiene requirements, there is only room for 57 people.

The municipality therefore offers two dates: on October 22nd for the districts south of the railway and on October 29th for the northern parts.

InWörth the citizens' meeting will take place on November 12th in the large school gym.

Since only around 100 people can be accommodated there, as Mayor Thomas Gneißl informed the local council, the meeting will be broadcast via live stream in the small hall.

Live stream in Taufkirchen

A digital solution is also being planned in Taufkirchen, among other things.

Instead of the previous five meetings in the respective districts, this year they will only be held in the community center in Taufkirchen.

"There will probably be three or four appointments, depending on how many people register in advance," says Mayor Stefan Haberl.

A meeting should either be offered as a live stream online, or a recording will be published on the homepage afterwards.

In Oberding the citizens' meeting will be held on October 15th in the triple gymnasium, in Eitting it will be held on November 13th in the primary school gymnasium.

Josef Steinkirchner, managing director of the administrative association, reckons with 100 to 150 people again this year.

“Registration is not necessary because it is a public event,” said Steinkirchner.

Instead, there is an attendance list.

If that's not enough, there is a second appointment

On October 13th the citizens' meeting of the community of Neuching will take place in the Gasthaus Neuwirt - "as planned", says Mayor Thomas Bartl.

There is enough space for the expected 100 or so people.

Registration is not required here either.

If more people want to come anyway, consider a second appointment.

In Ottenhofen, the citizens' meeting takes place in the Josef Vogl Hall, as it does every year.

“So far we have only used about half of the hall.

This year she will be seated all the way back in order to keep the minimum distances, ”announced Mayor Nicole Schley.

Here too, around 100 people are expected.

Every visitor will have to sign up in a contact list at the entrance, there is no need to register in advance.
