New events, new conditions and, with District Administrator Stefan Frey, a new patron: This weekend, Elisabeth Carr starts the 19th edition of the "Literary Autumn" full of energy.

District

- "Of course it was a careful consideration whether the events could take place this year," said the organizer during the presentation of the program.

“We made the decision at short notice, but with all our might.” Together with her event partner Dr.

In this special year, Gerd Holzheimer organized six literary events adapted to the circumstances.

From apple growers to Pumuckl to past and contemporary writers, there is a lot on offer.

However, support is required for such a program to take place.

The former district administrator Karl Roth was the patron of the “Literary Autumn” for eleven years, and Stefan Frey is now following him in this task as well.

“Both Mr. Roth and District Administrator Frey are wonderful door openers,” said Carr and thanked for the support, also from cultural advisor Barbara Beck.

“We are there even in times of crisis,” emphasized Carr.

"For this we will go into large, open spaces or into nature." A limited number of participants and spontaneous adjustments to the situation are nevertheless unavoidable.

Current information and the possibility to register are available on the website www.kunstraeume-am-see.de, at z (0 81 51) 55 97 21 or by email to kontakt@kunstraeume-am-see.de.

A card costs 17 euros, a reduced price of 7 euros.

The program in detail

Apples from the concentration camp:

Korbinian Aigner was a passionate apple breeder, pastor in the Third Reich and ultimately a concentration camp prisoner in Dachau.

He became famous as the “apple pastor”, as he still bred new apple varieties while in captivity.

Dr.

Helmut Hörger, once a servant at Aigner, tells stories about the “apple pastor”.

Together, the group also visits the apple orchard of the Carmelite convent, to which Aigner finally managed to escape.

Saturday, September 26th, 3 pm, meeting point in front of the country inn “Die Post” in Aufkirchen.

The heart from which one is carved:

In a typical workshop atmosphere, speaker Laura Maire not only gives her voice to the poets Arno Holz and Friedrich Hölderlin, but also to Pumuckl by Ellis Kaut.

Between wood shavings and workshop machines, she reads poems and original texts.

Sunday, September 27th, 3 p.m., carpentry Josef Bernlochner, Am Bichl 1, Hochstadt.

Of luck and tragedy:

The publishers Helen and Kurt Wolff from Leipzig probably lived at Lake Starnberg for some time before National Socialism.

Speaker Peter Weiß reads texts by Franz Kafka, Georg Trakl and other authors.

Elisabeth Carr and Dr.

Gerd Holzheimer slip into the roles of the couple, whose story is another aspect of the seminar.

Friday, October 2, 6 p.m. to Sunday, October 4, Buchenried House of the VHS Munich, Assenbucher Strasse 45, Leoni.

Registrations directly through the VHS.

Artist in a picturesque village on the lake:

Elisabeth Carr describes this event as a “beautiful, fine walk through Bernried into the past”.

On a tour of the site, the participants visit buildings of literary importance and hear texts from the past.

Good shoes, sturdy clothing suitable for the weather are recommended.

Monday, October 26th, 3 p.m., meeting point at the cloister courtyard in Bernried.

The upright walk.

Let's go or move shoes:

they are an integral part of our lives and yet many people pay too little attention to them - our shoes.

In contrast, this event is dedicated to the shoe and pilgrimage in literary terms and presents the history of the shoe and the upright gait.

Judith Huber, speaker, actress and director of the Pathostheater in Munich, reads poems appropriate to the topic.

Saturday, November 14th, 5 p.m., Schuhhaus Linse, Wittelsbacherstraße 1, Starnberg.

On the threshold to self:

The Belarusian poet and children's book author Volha Hapeyeva currently lives in Villa Waldberta in Feldafing.

She will give a reading from her own texts, answer questions from the audience, and delve into the history of the Belarusian language and culture.

More detailed information on the place and date will be published in good time on the website www.kunstraeume-am-see.de.
