Two exhibitions of the photo club can be seen in Geretsried until the end of September.
Pia Mihailowitsch shows facades in the town hall, and several members of the public library show bizarre images.
Geretsried -
The Geretsried photo club is showing two exhibitions until Wednesday, September 30th.
In keeping with the double anniversary of 70 years of the community and 50 years of the city, Pia Mihailowitsch shows “Geretsrieder Fassaden-Schnipsel” in the foyer of the town hall.
Mihailowitsch likes to photograph graphic motifs and patterns, “genre more abstract”, explains the 63-year-old Geretsriederin.
She came up with the idea of pointing her camera at various facades in Geretsried, such as industrial buildings, housing developments, schools and the Puls G on Karl-Lederer-Platz while she was out on her bike in the city.
“You don't always have to go somewhere else, you can also discover something worth photographing in the area,” says Mihailowitsch.
The 63-year-old has been working more intensively with photography for around ten years.
"It opens your eyes," says Mihailowitsch.
For her exhibition, she selected photos in which you can see sections of the façade and perhaps not immediately recognize which building it is.
"It can be a stimulus to take a closer look around your surroundings."
The second exhibition of the photo club shows the works of several members in the gallery of the city library.
The amateur photographers have compiled bizarre pictures under the title “A large portion of luck”.
Both exhibitions can be visited during the opening times without registration.
You are asked to observe the rules of distance and hygiene.
