Geneva - Sana
The Executive Director of the World Health Organization's emergency program, Mike Ryan, announced today that the number of deaths from the Corona virus could reach two million people in the world before the vaccine against the virus is used on a large scale.
Media quoted Ryan as saying in a statement that “the number you are talking about is not only two million deaths, but it is a very likely number, unfortunately,” indicating that this number may be reached in the absence of coordinated action to contain the pandemic.
The new Corona virus has killed more than 987,748 people around the world since it announced its appearance last December, according to the latest count by World Meters.
