Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg is honored this Friday on Capitol Hill, becoming
the first in public office to receive state funeral honors in the House of Congress
.
The ceremony is being held under strict restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The coffin was transferred from the Supreme Court, where it received honors for two days, to the National Statuary Hall inside the Capitol, where the main congressmen attend to present their recognition to who was called the iron judge and who died of cancer at 87 years.
The Speaker of the Lower House, Nancy Pelosi, welcomed "with deep pain" the iconic woman of feminism and the struggle of minorities.

Civil rights activist Rosa Parks was the first civilian woman to receive honors in the building.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democrat from California, also participates in the ceremony, which includes a preaching by Lauren Holtzblatt, a rabbi from the conservative DC Adas Israel synagogue who also prayed during the ceremony honoring the judge. in Supreme Court on Wednesday.

A formal departure ceremony will then begin when the coffin with Ginsburg's remains leaves the Capitol at around 12:30 pm.
According to the architect of the Capitol, Ginsburg is the second person to have served on the Supreme Court and to receive funeral honors on the Capitol.
The first person was William Howard Taft, who was not only president of the Supreme Court, but also a past president.
