An army man drove with his six-year-old son this morning (Friday) on Road 446, and stopped at the side of the road at the entrance to the village of a-Luban near the settlement of Beit Aryeh to buy groceries.
The father entered a grocery store and left the vehicle driven while the child was inside.
Palestinians who were there got into the car and started driving.
After the thieves realized there was a child in the vehicle, they dropped him off and fled the scene.
The driver of the vehicle started in pursuit of the stolen vehicle, during which he was lightly injured.
After reaching the boy, the father was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.
Police and the army are conducting searches in the area with the aim of finding the stolen vehicle and arresting suspects.
