Prague-Sana
The head of the Czechoslovak Institute of International Relations, Jaromir Shalapata, called for coordination with Syria in combating terrorism, as it constitutes the first line of defense against extremism and terrorism.
In a statement to SANA's correspondent today, Shalabata said that Europe and the world have an interest in eliminating the terrorist organization "ISIS", and this will not happen without coordination with the Syrian state, stressing at the same time that the international community must adopt firm positions demanding the exit and withdrawal of foreign forces that are present illegally on Syrian territory .
Shalabata explained that stability in the Middle East is closely linked to stability in Syria and the return of security and safety to it, criticizing the double standards that the West adopts regarding what is happening in Syria and its silence on the crimes committed by terrorist organizations and occupying forces.
He indicated that the terrorist groups in Syria constitute a serious threat to security and stability not only in the Middle East, but also in Europe and the world.
Shalabatta reiterated the necessity of resolving the crisis in Syria politically in a way that preserves its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
