Win Tour: The Future of Pay and Play Tours

2020-09-25T16:41:43.293Z

The Win Tour was created last July by Stanislas Caturla, member of the Pro Golf Tour. After two years of work, the Rochelais saw his project culminate at the beginning of the summer with a first competition at the Golf National.

Professional player on the Pro Golf Tour, Stanislas Caturla (28) launched last July, the Win Tour Golf, this Pay and Play circuit which brings together at least one day per month, pro players, pro teachers and amateurs on the most beautiful course in France:

“This idea for a project arrived about two years ago.

We were in the car with two Pro Golf players to go to a tournament and we wondered what we would like to do if we did not drill in the golf course, ”

 explains Stanislas.

The former resident of the University of Laval (Quebec) also explains the ultimate goal of these days:

“What we lack in tournament I think is our staff.

Bringing his mental trainer, his physical trainer and his coach to an entire tournament is very expensive.

Thanks to the Win Tour, a player's staff can travel a day to see how the player reacts under pressure.

It is this aspect that pushed me to create this Pay and Play circuit ”

 continues the Rochelais.

But what is the principle of Pay and Play?

Each player who wishes to play an event, pays a registration fee of 150 €.

The more players there are, the more prize money will be for the competition and the more money the top 5 professional rankings (players and teachers) will earn.

For amateurs, prizes are awarded to them.

The experience that speaks

On July 13, the first round at the National Golf took place.

A test won in the teacher category, by Christian Cevaër thanks to a good card in the par:

“The first stage at the National golf course was brilliant.

Stan (Caturla) and Margaux (volunteer) couldn't do enough for us.

It's always a pleasure to go to the National.

After having played the first round in the teacher category, the former resident of the European Tour took part in the" professional players, member of a tour "category for the 2nd stage on September 21 at the Golf de Saint-Cloud:

" I have been a teacher for 7 years already but now that I am 50 years old, I want to relaunch myself on the Legends Tour (Senior Tour), playing in the other category gives me more emulation and conditions me to replay a little under pressure .

It's always important to rub shoulders with the best, ”

says the double winner of the European Tour.

Partner of this Win Tour, the chipping expert offers the winners of the different categories two hours of private lessons.

Mathieu Decottignies Lafon, player of the Challenge Tour and of the Pro Golf Tour, played last Monday, his first test of the Win Tour,

"El Decott"

was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the course as well as by the organization of the Win Tour:

"C 'was top.

It is an ideal format to continue playing during off-peak periods.

The greens were great at Saint-Cloud, personally, I had more trouble on the course that you need to know but it's clearly the kind of event you have to play to keep the game. playing with a teacher and an amateur, it's always cool to share these moments ”.

Note that the winners of each category win at the end of the Win Tour season, a 5 night stay for 2 people in the magnificent Anahita hotel complex in Mauritius.

After the National golf course and Saint Cloud, the Win Tour will stop at the Golf des Aisses for the third round which will take place on October 5th.

The end of the Win Tour season could continue in the south of France from November.
