In conjunction with the start of accepting university preference applications in the registration centers accredited in universities and their branches today, the National Union of Syrian Students, in cooperation with the Syrian Trust for Development, opened interactive exhibitions in universities entitled “Your Eye is Your Specialization” to introduce successful students in the high school diploma with the specializations available in universities and institutes.

The exhibitions include discussion tables, each of which represents one of the colleges in universities led by teams made up of graduate students and outstanding students to answer all questions and inquiries related to university specializations and differentiation, in addition to meetings with faculty deans, their deputies, and specialized professors to talk about their faculties and the specializations in them and answer the questions posed. They must be visited by the exhibition visitors, in addition to displaying pictures and videos about the university and colleges.

In addition, a discussion table was designated for students from the wounded Syrian army category supervised by teams from the exhibition and the “Wounded Homeland Program” from the Syrian Trust for Development, known for university specializations, and providing advice and assistance in order to choose the appropriate specializations for them.

SANA accompanied the opening of exhibitions in universities and the events that included them and met with a number of those in charge and students visiting it. In the Faculty of Information at Damascus University, Engineer Omar al-Jabaei, head of the Culture and Information Office of the National Union of Syrian Students, stated in a statement to SANA that these exhibitions come as part of an initiative by the Union and the Secretariat to form a team He explains the differentiation mechanism and the best way to write the student’s wishes within the special form, and warns of common caveats and errors in an interactive way.

Al-Jabaei pointed out that within the initiative a comprehensive clarification and complete vision of everything related to university registration for each branch of study, whether at the university or the institute and the features of each branch, will be held, indicating that from tomorrow, introductory seminars will be held in which the deans of the colleges will take place every day four seminars in the runways of the College of Media. At the University of Damascus in conjunction with similar seminars in various universities.

From the Syrian Trust for Development, Muhammad Lababidi, Youth Training Supervisor at the Municipality, said that the secretariat team answers students' questions in an interactive, constructive dialogue so that their choice of the branch is informed by knowledge of the labor market available for this specialty after graduation and the features of each branch and presenting samples of graduation projects for students of previous years within the department Allocated to each college.

At the University of Aleppo, Gianna Ashgi, Youth Training Supervisor at the Syrian Trust for Development, explained that these exhibitions constitute a link between youth in the labor market and support them to choose the appropriate university major for their aspirations.

Among the participants in the exhibition, Rama Kayali indicated that she and her colleagues are helping students who are coming into university life to be able to define their desires according to their preferences.

Wajih Samani, supervisor of the "Wounded Homeland" program, stressed the importance of participation to motivate the wounded who have a high school diploma, to learn about university specializations.

At Tishreen University in Lattakia, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Yasser Musa, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the initiative of the Students' Union and the Syrian Trust for Development is a positive step to familiarize successful students with the general high school of the university and its faculties and how to choose the appropriate specialization for the student, calling on students to choose a major according to desire, abilities and skills and not according to the grade .

The head of the Students' Union branch at the university, Youssef Shaheen, said that the aim of the initiative is to guide students to learn how to choose and introduce them to the specializations in the faculties of Tishreen University.

In his turn, Rani Saqr, Director of the Syrian Trust for Development in Lattakia, indicated that the secretariat’s participation in this initiative consists in directing the student to what suits him in terms of specializations as well as contributing to awareness because the current view of the university’s specialization is according to the mark and what is sought to be reached in the future is the choice based on desire And tendencies.

And in Deir Ezzor at the Faculty of Agriculture at the Euphrates University, Munther Daham, head of the Students' Union branch in the governorate, stressed the importance of exhibitions in terms of introducing students to the specializations available in universities and guiding them to choose the specialization appropriate to their desires and compatible with their degrees, through brochures, programs, and pictures that show the nature of each college.

A number of students praised these exhibitions that contribute to determining their university paths after introducing them to the specializations in the university and their suitability for their desires and abilities.

In Tartous, the head of the Studies and Student Issues Office at the Student Union branch at Tartous University, Mustafa al-Khatib, explained the importance of guiding the student who passed the secondary school stage to choose his scientific desire for university comparison, so that it is based on a prior perception of the college he will choose.

In Homs, the head of the Students' Union branch at Al-Baath University, Ali Al-Hammadi, stated that the exhibitions target every student who has passed the secondary stage and wishes to expand his information about the colleges he wishes to register in, as the exhibitions include interactive discussion tables for students to answer all questions and inquiries related to university specializations and differentiation.

The exhibitions will continue until the first of next October and start daily from ten in the morning until four in the afternoon, and all the supplies have been secured to create a healthy environment within the exhibitions that take into account the precautionary measures to prevent the Corona virus from sterilizing and securing masks, maintaining spatial spacing and organizing the entry and exit process to prevent any congestion. .
