The municipality of Forstern wants to install photovoltaic systems on the roofs of its municipal properties, provided this is legally, economically and technically feasible.

This decision was made unanimously.

Forestry

- This was preceded by a discussion that mainly revolved around the wording of the proposal from the climate protection and energy officers.

As reported, Maria Feckl (Greens) and Anton Oskar (CSU) applied for “the roof areas of the properties to be made available for the installation of PV systems to generate electricity - including for personal use”.

The old voter community (AWG) was bothered by the little word “fundamentally”.

On behalf of his group, Peter Feckl stated that he considered the decision to be too far-reaching.

“We don't want to commit ourselves to having photovoltaic systems on every building, but rather that this is always subject to an individual municipal council audit.

Otherwise we will be driven by this decision, ”he warned.

The counter-motion of the AWG was therefore that the local council had to decide on the installation.

Georg Els jun.

stated that the proposed resolution was "too far-reaching" in this formulation and that there was "insufficient differentiation between old and new buildings".

A PV system makes no sense on buildings such as the old fire station, which is supposed to be torn down anyway.

This must be formulated more specifically.

Maria Feckl complained about this “quibbling” and interjected that according to the application, an economic analysis should always be carried out.

In this respect, a PV system is not automatically provided for every property, but only where it is worthwhile.

Marlene Pawelczyk (AWG) confirmed that they did not want to work against the speakers' request.

“But we just don't want to put any obstacles in our way.” Mayor Rainer Streu (AWG) read out the new proposed resolution, according to which “all existing buildings in the community will be successively equipped with photovoltaic systems, subject to legal, economic and technical feasibility should ", whereby these would have to fit into the surrounding area.

The same applies to PV systems on new buildings, in which case they should be taken into account in the planning.

Anton Oskar admitted that this formulation was much more detailed.

"The basic idea is the same for both."
