Pablo Baron Escobar's nephew, Nicholas Escobar, announced that he had found a plastic bag hidden in a wall in one of his uncle's homes with $ 18 million worth of money in it.

In an interview with Colombian media, the nephew said that "Vision" led him to look for the money in an apartment in the city of Medellin, where the famous drug baron used to live.

According to Nicholas, this is not the first time he has found money in places where his uncle used to hide from the police.

This, in the shadow of many reports over the years that Escobar has hidden millions in his assets.

Escobar, who was killed in an exchange of gunfire with police in 1993, is considered at his peak the seventh richest man in the world.

"Every time I sat in the dining room and looked in the direction of the parking lot, I saw a man enter the place and disappear," he said.

"The smell inside was horrible. It smelled a hundred times worse than something you died."

According to the nephew, who has lived in the apartment for the past five years, some of the bills that are decades old have rotted and are no longer usable.

In an interview, he said that he accompanied his uncle on many occasions, and that he was even abducted on one occasion by people who were looking for Escobar.

"I was tortured for seven hours. Two of my workers were attacked with a chainsaw," Nicholas said.

Since Escobar's death, rumors have been circulating in the city of Medellin about his hidden fortune, after spending decades in the war against Colombian authorities to prevent his extradition to the United States.

His nephew Nichols told a Colombian TV channel that he also found a typewriter, telephones, satellites, a gold pen, a camera and a film that had not yet been developed.
