200 worshipers in dedicated capsules will participate tonight (Saturday night) in the central Slichot class at the Central Wall plaza.

Under the rules of distance and the wearing of masks, the following will pray and say the Slichot for the last time this year, just before Yom Kippur.

The class will be broadcast on the "Israel Today" website starting at midnight.

Every year it is an event attended by tens of thousands of people, but this year, due to the limitations of the corona, only 200 people will attend it.

The event will be attended by Chief Rabbis David Lau and Yitzhak Yosef, Rabbi of the Western Wall, Minister of the Interior, Minister of Religions and Mayor of Jerusalem.

"In the run-up to the High Holidays and in the shadow of the Western Wall, the remnant of our Temple, Jews from all walks of life, from all factions and from all denominations to say Slichot unite together every year. For an exciting and powerful prayer, "said Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, rabbi of the Western Wall and the Holy Places." This year, the entire nation is crying out for medicine, and longing for a solution. The people of Israel have always known how to unite and unite in times of crisis - and this year too we will all be united as a man and we will all ask for mercy, on ourselves and on the whole world. From the place from which the Goddess never moved and we will ask together "for in this day shall atonement be made for you to cleanse you from all your sins."
