Garmisch-Partenkirchen -

The press conference of the SC Riessersee on Thursday had already brought some innovations to light (we reported).

SCR managing director Pana Christakakis, Andreas Wieland, commercial director of the GmbH, as well as the politicians Bernhard Pohl and Florian Streibl (both free voters) reported on various things regarding the start of the season and financial aid.

But that was not all.

Among other things, the SCR announced that the ticket prices for standing room will increase in the coming season.

Previously, tickets for the west and east stands cost twelve euros each.

In the future, fans will have to put one euro on top - 13 euros.

However, as long as the corona pandemic keeps the world and thus sport in a headlock and the traditional club is not allowed to fill the local Olympic ice sports center with spectators, there are sometimes discounted tickets.

The seats in curves D and C are initially being offered for the new standing room price, i.e. 13 euros.

Two season ticket variants

The season tickets are also changing.

From now on there will be two versions: the “Riessersee” model and the “Alpspitze” model.

In the case of the “Riessersee” season ticket, the purchaser agrees with the purchase of the ticket to forego any claims for reimbursement should there be ghost games in the upcoming season.

But it doesn't go out empty.

For this game, he receives free access to the live streming service sprade.tv.

Because even if the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen should exceed the 7-day incidence, the SCR can play its games.

Only the spectators are excluded in this case.

With the “Alpspitz” variant, however, the right to a refund remains.

There is one other item where ice hockey fans will have to dig deeper into their pockets in the future.

The fee for sprade.tv also rises - from 5.50 to eight euros.

In this case, the south is better off than the north, emphasizes Christakakis.

"There the price will be raised to ten euros."

The stars are not the target

Lots of new numbers, and the SCR managing director has more in store.

He reported that the association had to cope with the loss of 25 percent of the sponsors.

Thanks to Corona.

Christakakis also revealed that the league team had to get by on a smaller budget.

In the previous season, the budget was 1.3 million euros; in the 2020/2021 season, the SCR will have to make do with 300,000 euros less.

Therefore, Christakakis repeated again what matters from November 6th - the start of the season of the Oberliga Süd.

“It won't be about reaching for the stars.

This year only survival counts. "

Nevertheless, the sporting plans are of course also progressing.

Christakakis had already announced on Thursday that another contract signature was imminent.

He was able to report execution on Friday.

The 25-year-old Philipp Wachter from Mittenwald will stay with the white-blue team for another year and will thus enter his sixth season with the SCR.

In the interrupted season, the physically present defender scored ten goals and provided the preparatory work for another 20.

“We are pleased that 'Wachti' decided shortly before our training start to continue on our path together.

He was our defender with the highest points last season, and his physical presence on the ice makes him an important pillar for our team, ”said coach George Kink.
