In the US, signals are being sent to Sudanese to follow in the footsteps of Abu Dhabi and Manama, but Prime Minister Hamdukh emphasizes his desire to separate relations with Jerusalem from removing his country from the dubious list.

Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdukh said today (Saturday) that his country is not interested in linking its removal from the list of US terrorism funders to normalizing relations with Israel. The dubious list that prevents its progress.

Hamduk's remarks came after during meetings between Sudanese and US officials in the United Arab Emirates, they received a clear signal from Washington that they wanted Khartoum to follow in the footsteps of Abu Dhabi and Manama - towards the establishment of full diplomatic relations with Israel.

Already last month, during the extraordinary visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Sudan, Hamdukh told him: "We are interested in separating the removal from the list of countries that fund terrorism and the establishment of relations with Israel."

Hamduk repeated the message today after the Sudanese Transitional Council convened yesterday to discuss the outcome of talks with the Americans.

At the same time, the head of the Uma party, Mubarak a-Fadil, told the Al-Arabiya network: "There is broad agreement in Sudan regarding the establishment of relations with Israel."

Alongside all this, it seems that at the top of the Sudanese Transitional Council there are prominent disagreements regarding the establishment of relations with Israel.

"We have opportunities that we need to use to get ourselves out of the crises we are in," said Transitional Council President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who holds a higher and stronger status than Hamduk.

"We want to take this opportunity to remove Sudan from the list of countries that fund terrorism."

As reported yesterday in "Israel Today", the US administration and Jerusalem are anticipating a breakthrough in Israel-Sudan relations.

A senior government official told Israel Today yesterday: "In a few weeks, Sudan will also declare peace with Israel. We are close to that and it will happen."
