This evening, the protests and sit-ins were renewed in a number of Lebanese regions, including Beirut, Sidon and Tripoli, to demand better living and material conditions.
The Lebanese National News Agency stated that dozens of angry youths gathered on the roads leading to Martyrs Square in central Beirut, blocking the road in the area with waste containers, demanding solutions to the living and economic crisis.
The Lebanese army and security forces deployed in the area in order to protect the demonstrators and public security, and to prevent cutting roads in front of traffic.
In Sidon, young men crossed the Elia roundabout in the city with burning tires, which led to traffic congestion in its vicinity, and the Lebanese army worked to reopen the road.
In Tripoli, northern Lebanon, protesters cut off the lanes of Abd al-Hamid Karami-al-Nur Square and chanted slogans denouncing corruption, demanding better living conditions and fighting high prices.
