President Donald Trump has selected Amy Coney Barrett as his appointee to the Supreme Court vacancy.
Trump made the announcement in the Rose Garden of the White House on Saturday.
CNN reported Friday that President Trump intended to run for Barrett, citing several high-level Republican sources.

According to a probable schedule circulating through the Senate, the hearing to confirm Barrett could begin on October 12;
establishing a possible final confirmation vote in the full Senate before Election Day.
The appointment is the third in the presidency of Donald Trump and could help cement a conservative Supreme Court for a generation.
