In Hohenkammer, the CSU flag is still waving on the town hall.
In the runoff election on Sunday, Mario Berti secured the executive chair for the next six years.
Susanne Hartmann (FDP) lost.
Hohenkammer - It was exciting to the end, but in the end the CSU candidate emerged as the winner of the runoff election with 52.8 percent of the vote.
The underdog: Susanne Hartmann from the FDP.
She was able to book 47.2 percent of the votes.
This is the second time in a row that she has suffered a defeat.
Hartmann already started in 2014 and wanted to move into the town hall as boss.
Even then, it was not enough against the CSU incumbent.
FDP candidate cannot prevail for the second time
In the runoff elections two weeks ago, Mario Berti and Susanne Hartmann prevailed against their two opponents from the Free Voters (Alfred Kopp) and the Hohenkammer Citizens' Association (Marina Brandstetter).
One of the first well-wishers on Sunday was Mario Berti's predecessor Johann Stegmair.
He emphasized: “I am convinced that Mario Berti will make his way.
He's a good mayor for Hohenkammer. ”He also sees the Hohenkammer administration in good hands.
The winner admitted that the past two weeks had been very tough.
And yet: "We did a good job."
Irritations in advance about the colors in the election display
There had been discussions in the run-up to the runoff election because Susanne Hartmann, as an FDP candidate in the election campaign, was not exactly generous with the FDP logo.
Berti: "In the CSU, it is even required that you have to include the party's logo in an election advertisement."
Above all, BvHo candidate Marina Brandstetter had complained that Hartmann had appeared in the election advertisement with the colors of her group.
