Atlético de Madrid had a dream debut in every sense: they beat
Granada
6-1
at the Wanda Metropolitano
with a spectacular debut by Luis Suárez.
Nothing less than a double and an assist put the scorer in just over 20 minutes on the field of play.
The Uruguayan striker entered the call for the start of Atlético's season with only two training sessions with his new teammates, who joined those he had already had at the beginning of work with Barcelona, a club from which he said goodbye. Thursday morning, a few hours later signing in Madrid with his new club.
While the oriental waited on the substitute bench, the person in charge of opening the account was precisely the one who occupies his place in the starting team: at 9 minutes,
Diego Costa
scored the first goal against the Andalusian team.

At 17 minutes,
Saúl
had a great chance to increase the lead with a penalty, but goalkeeper
Rui Silva
managed with a great save to prevent the local's second goal.
Already in the second half, the second goal for the local finally arrived and it was from the hand of an Argentine.
Ángel Correa scored 2-0 after a spectacular pass from
Joao Felix
and brought more tranquility to the premises.

From Correa's goal, total tranquility arrived for Atlético.
And it was not surprising that in this context the Portuguese
Joao Felix,
one of the great stars of the team, gave the game scoring figures.
At 24, one of the most awaited moments occurred: the debut of Luis Suárez with his new team.
What was hard to guess, beyond
Lucho's
superstar quality
, was that he would do it so straight.
The Uruguayan entered through Diego Costa and in the first time he played, he ignited the fans' illusions even more: with a subtle touch he left only
Marcos Llorente
, also recently entered, to score the fourth goal for Simeone's team.
Golo do Atlético!
Llorente face or room.

But if anyone believed that Suárez's production was going to stay that way, they were long wrong.
The Uruguayan was commissioned in a few minutes to leave
an indelible mark
on his debut.
It seemed that his first goal could come in a penalty, but finally the referee corrected his penalty thanks to the VAR and backed down.
It was not enough to stop the oriental's thirst for a goal.
At 40 minutes, with a spectacular header that left the goalkeeper totally out of reach, he scored the team's fifth goal and declared the party for the
Atleti
fans
.

The Granada discount decorated the result, but Suárez was never going to settle.
And in the last minute of added time he captured a rebound and sent it to the net for the final 6-1.
A few hours after the debut of a Barcelona that despised him, the striker wanted to show that he is more current than ever.
In the first appearance with his new team, he clearly made it.
