Attachment has a lot of potential.

The first plans for the district development have now been presented.

High-quality businesses are to be settled, but the village character is to be retained.

Attaching – The district development in Attaching becomes concrete.

The planners involved presented the project orders they had already worked out to the attachers in the multi-purpose hall on Friday evening.

Both to the "heart" of the village, the area around the "Alten Wirt", as well as to the new industrial area "Attaching-Nord", which is to be built on the area of the retail park (FMZ), the citizens were allowed to submit their suggestions or objections.

First there was praise from the planners.

Attaching to the size of the place is still quite “village-like” and well “green”, it said.

It quickly became clear that the mix of uses as it exists now should also be retained in the future.

You don't want a purely “residential area”, said one listener.

Not a “dormitory city” whose residents flock to work in the morning and come back to sleep in the evening.

Michael Buchberger added: "It is the families who create property here that shape village life and are involved in associations."

Wishes: resting place for seniors and an inn

The existing open spaces are important and worth preserving: the orchard at the cemetery and the space around the maypole in the town center.

The planners also had suggestions on how to “make it more friendly”.

The way the square now presents itself, it has little relation “to the outside”.

The bushes and lower rows of branches of the trees can be cut back and a range of games created for children.

An elderly citizen objected that the place also had potential for seniors.

“Benches to relax”, that was his plea.

And: “We have a church, and there is also an inn.” Apropos restaurants: An inn, of course, belongs in the center of the village, a “Bavarian” inn.

There are already many pizzerias in the area.

One of the listeners wanted a facility for “assisted living” in the long term.

It would be good to have its own primary school, but it will probably not be possible.

Local spokesman Johann Hölzl waved him away.

Space for craft and business start-ups

What the new business park “Attaching-Nord” could look like was presented in a structural concept.

High-quality commercial and service companies, but also local craft businesses and start-ups should find space.

Town builder Barbara Schelle emphasized that there are always requests from craft businesses to expand.

A mixed area is planned in the west of the planning scope, which is intended to link living and working.

The planners would like to maintain and expand the existing green passage along Raiffeisenstraße as a connecting element.

Citizens are in demand

Citizens are now asked to express their ideas in a questionnaire.

The employees of the town planning office will set up boxes to throw in in the town center.

The forms are also given out at the general store.

On October 28th, the district development concept for Attaching will be discussed in a public meeting of the City Council's Committee on Building, Planning and the Environment.
