The victim is a 61-year-old Afghan father of two who resided in Malakassa camp near Athens, the Asylum Ministry said.
The man was hospitalized in the Greek capital.
This camp, like those of Schisto and Elaionas - also near Athens - was placed in quarantine in early September due to the upsurge in cases of coronavirus among migrants.
On the island of Lesbos, after the recent fire in the Moria camp, more than 240 asylum seekers tested positive in the provisional camp where they were transferred.
The Greek authorities announced on Sunday 218 new Covid-19 contaminations in the country - bringing the total to 17,444 - and three deaths, or 379 since the start of the pandemic.
