The Governorate of Damascus countryside honored the players of the Al-Harjila team and its technical and administrative cadres for qualifying for the football premier league, during a ceremony held today in the governorate building in Damascus.
The governor of Damascus countryside, Eng. Alaa Mounir Ibrahim, referred to the great efforts made by the team’s players and cadres in their journey to reach the Premier League, bypassing all circumstances, expressing the governorate’s readiness to provide support for the team to continue its competitions vigorously in its next maturity.
Ibrahim called on the team's players to redouble efforts to prove their worth in the coming period, as the team will face strong teams in the Premier League, which will make the competition stronger to exist among the first teams.
The club president, Abd al-Rahman al-Khatib pointed out that the achievement of the Al-Harjalah team is added to the achievements of the governorate sport during the current season, as Qara and Al-Dameer clubs previously qualified for the First Division League, hoping that the team will be able to compete strongly in the League of Lights for the first places, especially in light of His constant support.
The team's players expressed their eagerness to provide an honorable performance in the league and exert their utmost efforts to compete strongly for the advanced positions to please their fans who aspire to a new dream in the Lights League after achieving their first dream of qualifying their team for it.
The Al-Harjila team qualified for the Premier League for the first time in its history, after defeating Al-Tadamon by four goals to none in the final round of the First Division.
