The senatorial right confirms the solidity of its anchoring within the Upper Assembly.
This is the first lesson of Sunday's vote, marked by a bonus for leavers, during which the grand voters were called to the polls to ensure the partial renewal of the Senate, or 172 seats out of 348.

After the confirmation of its anchoring in the municipal ones, the right was very confident in its capacity to remain strong in the Senate.
Sunday evening, Gérard Larcher greeted a majority of the right and the center "
consolidated
".

The great voters have signified today that they want the Senate to be both open and a demanding counter-power, participating in a rebalancing of powers for the benefit of communities,
" said the President of the Senate.
Bruno Retailleau, president of the LR group, showed the same satisfaction.
He noted the progression of his own score after a box full of three seats in his department of Vendée and the consolidation of his group.
The Senate elections have made us stronger.
It is the consequence of a work of opposition which does not let itself go to the connivance or to the Pavlovian opposition.
