The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Hama arrested a drug-trafficking network in possession of large quantities of narcotic substances, counterfeit foreign currency and a war weapon.
The head of the Narcotics Control Branch in Hama Governorate, Colonel Abd Manaf Ismail, told SANA's correspondent that “a drug trafficking network consisting of 26 people was arrested with their possession of 95 kilograms of hashish and 85,000 Captagon pills in addition to 56,000 forged dollars, a bullet-proof shield, a military pistol and grenades. Colonel Ismail stated that the operation "comes within the framework of pursuing outlaws and controlling the security and safety of society," affirming that the Internal Security Forces "continue to pursue these persons and strike with an iron hand those who touch and tamper with the security and safety of this country."
