Snow and continuous rain brought two vacationers into mountain difficulties.

Marktschellenberg / Ettenberg - A

49-year-old local had

a serious accident with her friend on a mountain tour on Sunday.

The two were on the

way down from Ettenberg

to the Kugelmühle

on the

Gatterlberg

when the 49-year-old fell over a serpentine about four meters in the upper part of the path.

The friend provided first aid and made an emergency call at the control center in Traunstein at around 12.15 p.m., reports the BRK district association Berchtesgadener Land.

Eight forces from the

Marktschellenberg mountain rescue service

, including the mountain rescue emergency doctor, drove up from Ettenberg.

A rescuer arrived with a motorcycle just a few minutes later and took over the first aid, the BRK reports.

The other emergency services followed with a special all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and on foot.

The ambulance of the helicopter "

Christophorus 6

"

was later

transported to the scene of the accident in

this all-terrain vehicle

Mountain rescue service and air rescuer on duty: 49-year-old falls four meters into the depth

Working together, the emergency services carried the injured woman out of the dense mountain forest to a small clearing, where she could then pick up "Christophorus 6" better with the rope.

The pilot brought the flight rescuer on the rope to the deployment site, who secured the patient lying down and the emergency doctor to himself on the rope.

After a stopover in Ettenberg, the 49-year-old was

flown

directly to the

Salzburg regional hospital in a

helicopter.

The mountain rescue service said it was on duty for two hours.

The BRK did not initially mention how it led to the accident.

Berchtesgaden am Königssee: Continuous rain and snowfall bring vacationers into mountain difficulties

The mountain rescue service and the Berchtesgaden water rescue service had to move out over the Königssee to the Eiswinkel late on Saturday morning (September 26th) and then

climb to the lower Saugasse

in

adverse conditions with continuous rain and snowfall

.

Two vacationers from North Rhine-Westphalia were overwhelmed with the early onset of winter when they were descending from the Kärlingerhaus, the BRK announced.

When the emergency call came in at around 11.10 a.m., the clouds were so low that a

rescue flight

was out of the question.

The BRK water rescue team has therefore brought four mountain rescuers across the lake.

They arrived at the uninjured, but freezing duo around 1 p.m.

The mountain rescuers then took care of the "heat retention" and then accompanied the two vacationers down the valley.

Not an easy task.

While according to the BRK it

had already snowed between 30 and 50 centimeters

on the

Funtensee

, in the Saugasse it was especially

slippery slush that made the descent

difficult

.

The BRK water rescue service picked up mountain rescuers and holidaymakers by boat at around 2.30 p.m.

There everyone was provided with warm drinks.

At the onset of winter in Bavaria and Tyrol there was half a meter of fresh snow.

Further use in Berchtesgaden: Climbing up on the fork

Already on Thursday evening (September 24th) around 6 p.m., the Berchtesgaden mountain rescue team had to help those who were climbing on the fork.

The hikers would have lost the trail and feared in the darkness that they would not find their way back into the valley.

While the head of operations tried to guide the uninjured by phone, mountain rescuers climbed on foot with headlamps and accompanied the detainees with headlamps into the valley.
