The Yom Kippur 2020 that ended tonight (Monday) was more complex than usual due to the corona and the hot weather that prevailed outside.

In Magen David Adom and the hospitals were prepared in advance in an emergency format and during the last day they treated about 2,360 cases throughout the country, of which 1,818 were evacuated for further treatment in the hospitals.

The number of fainting spells due to the heavy heat stands at 305, an increase of about 15% compared to last year.

129 people were injured and needed first aid due to various riding accidents.

This is a figure that is no less than 50% lower than last year, in light of the closure and morbidity of the corona.

Meanwhile, a 54-year-old pedestrian was killed by a car in the village of Hilaf.

In other road accidents that occurred during Yom Kippur, 17 other people were injured.

In violent incidents that occurred across the country, 18 people were injured, including 1 moderately.

MDA teams were also called to transfer 136 mothers to the hospitals, 2 of whom were born by MDA teams in Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh.

In Hadera, there were two cases of stones being thrown at ambulances.

During Yom Kippur, MDA continued the war to prevent the spread of the corona virus and MDA samples from the Arab sector took 1,595 samples in the sector's localities.

MDA blood services provided hospitals in Israel with 298 doses and blood components and 38 plasma doses for the treatment of corona patients during Yom Kippur (2 doses per patient).
