The Chief Inspector of the Second Team of the West Kowloon Region Crime Squad, Prince Yu, stated that the case occurred on November 11 last year at 9:30 pm. A male Chinese tourist from the Mainland passed the junction of Nathan Road and Argyle Street. The above address was blocked. When the male victim took out his mobile phone, he was attacked by several "mobs", which lasted 5 minutes.

The mobile phone of the male victim was removed, with lacerations on his head and multiple injuries to his body. The police identified the two assailants and arrested two 19-year-olds and 28-year-olds at Wong Tai Sin and Tai Po homes this morning. The man, a student and an ambulance from the Fire Services Department, was suspected of illegal assembly, wounding and conspiracy to steal.

The police seized telephones, computers, and protective equipment such as helmets and escorts.

The police attached great importance to this serious injury case, saying that the relevant footage showed that more than a dozen "thugs" continued to attack the man.

The man was battered and the violent attacks have not stopped.

The police investigation continues, and it is not ruled out that more people will be arrested.

All the arrested persons are currently being detained for investigation and the case is handed over to Team 2B of the Regional Crime Squad of West Kowloon for follow-up.

The police reiterated that they will not accept all acts of violence to harm others, even if they have different opinions or different political backgrounds, they cannot resort to violence.

The police will arrest offenders.
