Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced that he would submit a constitutional bill to combat the unjust US blockade on his country to the National Assembly.

The television station Telesur quoted Maduro as saying during the meeting of the Presidential Committee for the Control and Prevention of Coronavirus that the draft law allows Venezuela to arm itself with new legal tools in order to stand in the face of arbitrary US sanctions, indicating that the anti-siege bill has been prepared and studied with the help of international and international experts in this regard. .

Maduro added that Venezuela must protect itself against the many attacks targeting its economy in order for it to recover in the economic, financial and social fields.

It is expected that the bill will be approved after a national debate, after which it will be possible to implement a set of measures to overcome the harmful effects of the sanctions.

For his part, Vice President Delsey Rodriguez stressed that the time has come to strengthen the legal capacity of Venezuela to defend itself in the face of the criminal blockade.

She said that these sanctions are crimes against humanity, and that is why we filed the case before the International Criminal Court to condemn the American government, noting that the aim of the unfair sanctions is to stifle the commercial and financial sectors in the country.

With the continued implementation of its hostile policies against sovereign states, the United States imposed unilateral sanctions on the oil, gold, mining and banking industries in Venezuela.
