According to the real-time update data on the Worldometers website, by September 28, the cumulative number of deaths from the global novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) has exceeded 1 million.

According to the information on the Worldmeters website, its data comes from reputable national and international institutions, including the United Nations, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The website pointed out that a total of 33,349,007 people worldwide were infected with the disease and 1,003,010 people have died.

Real-time statistics from Johns Hopkins University in the United States show that as of 8:32 pm on September 28, Hong Kong time, 998,380 people worldwide have died from the new coronavirus pneumonia.

The highest number of deaths were in the United States (204,762), Brazil (141,741) and India (95,542).
