The local councils in the Damascus countryside have begun to rehabilitate, maintain and clean the rain manholes and sewage rains in preparation for the coming winter season, in order to avoid any problems occurring with the onset of rain, while the Technical Services Directorates continue asphalting and street maintenance work in a number of cities and towns in the governorate.
The head of the Municipal Council in the suburb of Qudsaya, Assef Hawwash, confirmed in a statement to the representative of SANA the readiness of the mechanisms, municipality and sanitation workers to open all the rickshaws and rainforest in the suburb in cooperation with the people, explaining that this campaign will continue until the rehabilitation of all the rain holes in all the streets and islands of the suburb.
In Beit Saham, the municipal council is working in cooperation with the owners of economic operators to clean and remove the runoff in preparation for the winter season, according to the head of the council, Radwan Shweiki, who called on citizens to cooperate with the council to raise the level of services in the town.
On the other hand, the director of technical services in the governorate, Eng. Ghassan Al-Jassem, pointed out in a similar statement that work is currently underway on the rehabilitation, maintenance, paving and asphalting of streets and roads in the city of Jayroud in coordination with the local council and some civil activities, while at the same time a project is being implemented for asphalting and paving the streets of the town of Hejana Before the arrival of winter.
