Three people were injured in a serious traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday morning at 7.30 a.m. on the Wörthsee motorway junction.
Wörthsee - As the police reported, an 18-year-old from Wörthsee had wanted to turn left with her Renault from the state road 2068 onto the Wörthsee motorway entrance in the direction of Munich.
At the same time, a 48-year-old woman from Weßling was driving her Volvo on the state road towards Etterschlag.
Two children, ten and eleven years old, sat in the car.
The Renault driver overlooked the Volvo, the vehicles collided head-on.
A 43-year-old from Wörthsee, who followed the Renault with her Kia, could no longer brake in time and drove her car into the Renault.
The driver of the Volvo was seriously injured in the collision.
One of the children suffered a minor hand injury.
Both were flown to a Munich clinic by helicopter.
The woman who caused the accident was also taken to hospital for further treatment in shock.
The police put the damage to all three vehicles at around 15,000 euros.
The fire brigades from Weßling and Etterschlag as well as the Starnberg district fire inspection were in action at the accident site.
There were also three ambulances, a helicopter and two patrols from the Herrsching Police Station.
The rescue and clean-up work lasted until 9:50 a.m., the police said.
