Syria's permanent representative to the United Nations, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, confirmed that representatives of some Western countries in the Security Council are trying to distort scientific facts and fabricate lies about the chemical file in Syria, stressing the need to close this file permanently because Syria has fulfilled its obligations arising from its accession to the Chemical Weapons Convention and has completely destroyed Stocked since 2014.
During an informal meeting of the Security Council held last night by video link according to the formula (Aria Formula) at the invitation of the delegations of Russia and China regarding the chemical file in Syria, Jaafari pointed to the serious violations and grave defects that dominated the work of the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, stressing that Syria cooperated with the United Nations and the Prohibition Organization to get rid of its chemical weapons and settle the outstanding issues, which requires an end to tampering with this file and its closure as soon as Syria fulfilled its obligations under its accession to the Chemical Weapons Convention in 2013 and destroyed its entire stockpile since June 2014, which was documented by the Head of Mission. Sigrid Kaag, when she presented her final report before the Security Council, confirmed that Syria had committed itself and fulfilled all its commitments and destroyed its entire chemical stockpile on board an American ship, which was also confirmed by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons that all 27 production facilities had been destroyed. Syria has abided by its commitments in letter and spirit and has no longer possessed any chemical weapons program or weapons since 2014.
Al-Jaafari reiterated Syria's condemnation of the pressures exerted by the governments of Western countries hostile to it on the representatives of the United Nations and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons with the aim of politicizing the chemical file in Syria and giving priority to false allegations over facts and technical issues, pointing out that the representatives of some Western countries in the Security Council are lying and trying to distort the facts. The scientific study on the chemical file in Syria, which is reminiscent of the school of Nazi German Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, which is based on the idea of (Lie lie until they believe you). History is full of scandals fabricated by the governments of Western countries to invade Iraq, Libya and Vietnam, and the attempt to invade Venezuela and Cuba based on lies and deceit.
And Ian Henderson, a former inspector at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, who was expelled from it for revealing fraud in investigations into allegations of chemical use in Syria, and journalist Aaron died from the site (The Gray Zone), which revealed a week ago that British intelligence was involved in the fabrication of the hostile media campaign against Syria and Professor Theodore Bastol of the Institute of Technology at the University of Massachusetts, USA, where they provided briefings to the Council that included a scientific refutation of the Western allegations and allegations related with a presentation of evidence and documented scientific evidence confirming the falsity of what the US administration and its allies are promoting, especially Britain and France, with the aim of putting pressure on Syria and its allies, especially with regard to the two incidents. The two allegations are in Khan Sheikhoun and Douma.
