The poet Abu al-Tayyib al-Mutanabi, his moral qualities, literary and cultural values, and the features of his poetry were the focus of a literary symposium organized by the Damascus branch of the Arab Writers Union with the participation of a number of writers, critics and researchers.
Al-Mutanabbi's Arabism and its value are the content of the axis presented by the head of the Arab Writers Union, the writer Malik Suqur, indicating that Abu Al-Tayyib is a true poet of Arabism, and his voice has not been extinguished, neither time nor place, nor can it fade from our minds because he possesses literature, science, culture, chivalry, self-confidence, hope, truth, goodness and beauty.
In his axis, the researcher, Dr. Ali Diab, a member of the Executive Office of the Writers Union pointed out that Al-Mutanabi, despite all his praise for the rulers of his time, maintained the elevation and stature that he had with Saif al-Dawla al-Hamdani and others, and many of him were jealous due to his scientific and cultural standing, indicating that he lived in travel and misery and wrote a lot about His trips and repercussions.
In his turn, critic Dr. Ahmed Ali Muhammad talked about the sobriety of Al-Mutanabbi’s poetry, the strength of its cohesion, the identification of strength with image and meaning, in addition to the wisdom and strength of personality.
As for the poet, Dr. Jihad Bkaflouni, he recited a poem in which he adhered to the style of the two halves, in which he showed many of Al-Mutanabi’s characteristics and what he lived and what he was exposed to.
In his reading, the researcher, George Jabbour, explained that Al-Mutanabi has great cultural connotations, no less than the greats of culture, and has a long and great history of science, literature and culture.
The critical poet, Dr. Nizar Braik Hindi explained that Al-Mutanabi, as it appears in the frequent news in the books that narrated his biography, did not sleep full of his eyelids as he claims, but he used to look after his hair and promote it, and he worked to attract followers and critics, surrounded them with his care and care, and did not hesitate to amend a house or correct the word Or delete entire poems from his collection, which he himself worked on revising and arranging.
On the other hand, the poet Amir Samawi presented the artistic features that made the poetry of Abu Al-Tayeb Al-Mutanabbi in the foreground, pointing out the disasters he had suffered during his life and their reflection on his poetry.
